This page will hopefully make sense of all the information that the Footy Analyser application provides!

There are 3 separate sections available. You can switch between these using the menu found at the top of the screen. This is visible on all screens.

 
 There is synchronise button that can be found at the top left of the application. This will check to see if there are any results or data updates available.
NB. you will need to have access to the internet for this to work. 

Forecast section

The forecast section lists the upcoming fixtures. You can filter the list of fixtures using the buttons at the bottom of the page. You can filter the fixtures to the next 3 days, 5 days or 7 days. You are also able to list the top 25 fixtures. The Footy Analyser app uses a forecast model to determine the likely result (more on this later). The Top 25 filter will list the top fixtures that are most likely (according to the model) to happen.
 
 

The fixtures are grouped into likely Home Wins, Draws and Away Wins.  
The following summary information is displayed:
  • Home Team (League Position)
    • Pld - number of games played. This is the number of home games that have been played. Only the last 5 home games are considered so for the majority of the season this will be 5
    • Pts - the number of points picked up in the last 5 home games
    • GF - The number of goals scored by the home side in the last 5 home games
    • GA - The number of goals conceded by the home side in the last 5 home games
  • (League Position) Away Team
    • Pld - number of games played. This is the number of away games that have been played. Only the last 5 away games are considered so for the majority of the season this will be 5
    • Pts - the number of points picked up in the last 5 away games
    • GF - The number of goals scored by the away side in the last 5 away games
    • GA - The number of goals conceded by the away side in the last 5 away games
  • FD - Form Difference. The difference in points achieved in the last 5 home/5 away games. If there are less than 5 home and 5 away games then the form difference is calculated using the last 8 games for both teams
  • W% - the percentage probability of a home win
  • D% - the percentage probability of a draw
  • L% - the percentage probability of a home loss

You can get more detailed information by selecting the fixture. This will also give you:
  • The last 5 home results for the home team
    • the date that the game was played
    • the score
    • the opposing team and the position in the league that the opposing away team were before the game was played
  • The last 5 away results for the away team
    • the date that the game was played
    • the score
    • the opposing team and the position in the league that the opposing home team were before the game was played
  • The head to head results since 2005/2006 season
    • the date that the game was played
    • the score
